UK - Passports/Visa Entry Requirements - Australia
PASSPORTS:
ISV requires participants traveling outside their home country to have a current passport. Participant's passport must be valid for six months past the date of their scheduled return from their ISV Programme. If necessary, participants will need to renew their passports prior to departure to meet this requirement.
ISV also requires all participants to mail a photocopy of their passport photo/information page to the ISV office with your final payment on or before 65 days prior to departure. Please make certain this photocopy is legible. You may send this via post or scan and email it to isvuk@isvonline.com. Please be sure to include your full name, university, and Programme destination and dates.
If you have any questions/concerns regarding your eligibility for travel to your host destination, please contact your native consulate for advice.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS / VISAS:
A travel visa is required to enter into Australia for everyone who is not an Australian citizen. Travel visas are available from some travel agents, airlines in certain countries, or on the Internet (see ETA website details below).
An ETA (Electronic Travel Authority) is a visa that is stored electronically, rather than a stamp or label in your passport. It will show up as part of your passport record when Immigrations Officials check your passport details upon entry. Please visit the ETA website to learn more: http://www.eta.immi.gov.au/. Be sure to read the instructions carefully.
ETAs are eligible to certain passport holders. Please visit the following link to determine your eligibility: http://www.immi.gov.au/eta/countries.htm ALL NON-BRITISH CITIZENS:
1. Must check with the Australian Embassy for the specific visa requirements for your individual situation. Please visit the following website for details: http://www.eta.immi.gov.au/
2. Acquiring any/all necessary travel documents are the responsibility of the individual participant. We advise that you seek information from your native consulate to ensure your native country allows you to travel to Australia.
