ISV requires participants travelling outside their home country to have a current passport. Participant's passport must be valid for six months past the date of their scheduled return from their ISV program; if necessary, participants will need to renew their passports prior to departure to meet this requirement.
ISV also requires all participants to mail a photocopy of their passport photo/information page to the ISV office with your final payment on or before 65 days prior to departure. Please make certain this photocopy is legible. You may send this via post or scan and email it to documentsuk@isvonline.org. Please be sure to include your full name, university, and programme destination and dates.

TRAVEL VISAS FOR COSTA RICA:
A travel visa is NOT required to enter into Costa Rica if you are a UK/Irish citizen and staying less than 90 days. ALL NON-UK/Irish CITIZENS:
Acquiring any/all necessary documents are the responsibility of the individual participant.
The participant will be responsible for securing any necessary travel visas if wanting to extend their stay in the country.
TRANSITING THROUGH THE USA?
Many of our Latin and South American Programs will require participants to transit through the USA prior to reaching their host country. For UK and Irish participants transiting through the USA, an additional ESTA transit visa is required. Please check with the US Embassy to determine eligibility and apply for a free ESTA or visit the following website https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/esta.html.
