UK - International Flight Options & Prices – Dominican Republic
OPTION #1 - ISV Group Flight - Fly on American Airlines (Standard Four-Week and Two-Week Volunteer Only Programme)
All ISV group flights to the Dominican Republic will originate from London (LHR). Due to the location of our projects, ISV flies into Santiago (STI), Santo Domingo (SDQ) or Puerto Plata (POP), Dominican Republic. Specific flights are determined once projects are assigned approx. 30 days prior to departure.
If you are taking the Spanish Lessons option, ISV flies into Santiago (STI) and out of either Santiago (STI) or Santo Domingo (SDQ). All Spanish Lesson participants will be departing on Sunday, five days prior to the start of the Standard Programme.
All ISV Group Flight participants will need to arrange their own domestic flights/transportation to and from London, Heathrow (LHR).
Dominican Republic Flight Costs:
Cost for ISV Group Flight = £625.00 GBP (plus taxes & ticketing fees) Estimate of taxes and fuel surcharges as of March 2010 = £325.00 GBP
Airline Ticketing Fee = £15.00 GBP (As charged by the airlines)
Please note: An ISV “Group Flight” consists of 10 or more passengers. In the unlikely event ISV is unable to meet this minimum requirement on any given date; those affected by this will be notified via email approximately 60 days prior to departure. At this time, a competitive “Individual Fare” will be quoted. Any deposit collected for the “Group Flight” will be applied to the “Individual Fare”.
Flight costs and taxes are subject to change due to fluctuating fuel surcharges, etc., implemented by the airlines. Prices may increase by as much as, but not more than £50.00 GBP.
All Custom Programme participants are required to take a flight organised by ISV.
Custom Programmes within Dominican Republic only: Flight costs are the same as the Standard 4-Week Group Flights above with the exception of a £75.00 GBP extension fee.
Custom Programmes in multiple countries: Due to the complexity of ISV Custom Programmes, the cost of airfare cannot be guaranteed at this time. ISV will provide a sample itinerary and quote of airfare within 15 business days of receipt of the required Custom Flight/Options Form and applicable deposits. (The Flight/Options Form is due no later than 105 days prior to departure.)
