I was part of the first group to travel to South Africa, and my experience was unbelievable. I learned so much about the people and their cultures, as well as the incredible animals that live here. The people I've spent the past four weeks with are like family now, and this trip is one that I'll never forget.

My experience with ISV has been a life changing experience. I have learned and experienced so many things here that I would never have done on my own. I would be happy to tour and work with ISV again in the future!
Lindsay Poulin, University of Waterloo
South Africa is an amazing country but to come and work to make a difference by volunteering to save animals from extinction is an experience I will never forget.
Meghan Meyer, University of Alberta
This project taught me to appreciate the small things in life like family and community. The help from the community made going to work something to look forward to everyday. The small change we made in this township makes a huge change in the community and that makes all this worthwhile.
Natasha Egiziano, Concordia University
ISV is an awesome way to travel and a great way to see and experience the entire country you're visiting. ISV provides a great way for people to give back to their host country but to also travel and see the sights. A wonderful experience!
Natalie Reinhart, Wilfred Laurier University
Words cannot describe my experiences. It was a truly amazing trip working with cheetahs and making a difference for animals that are almost extinct. I would come back in a heartbeat!
Amanda Richardson, University of Guelph

Being in Africa was a life changing experience for me. I learned so much about animals, the environment, conservation, South Africa in general and myself. I had a great time and made great friends along the way. I'm very sad to leave our group, even our leaders were great.
Lindsay Ross, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill
This is my second year volunteering with ISV and once again, it has truly been a life-changing experience. I've learned so much and the people I've met are unbelievable. I would recommend this program to anyone.
Jessica Dockery, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill
Gaining an understanding of conservation through the eyes of people whom live half way across the world and combining that with knowledge lets you know that even as one person we can all connect and make a difference. Being here was an amazing thing for my life and I would not trade this for anything.
Monika Burchette, Oklahoma State University
Mna e tanda O Africa! I don’t want to go home!
Mallory Hardy, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill
I never thought I was the type of girl that can rough it by using tools to build and dig, but I absolutely am! I learned that my body can do things I never thought it could, and am excited to carry this into my homelife! The people I lived and worked with became my family. We took risks together, laughed together, cried together and grew as a whole. I will carry this experience with me for my entire life! Thank you!
Lauren Seltzer, University of Florida
This trip was an amazing way to build relationships with other volunteers and have lasting memories with locals.
Jennifer Baumgartner, Michigan State University
I felt very strongly about my ISV experience and would recommend to all.
Heidi Maclean, University of Prince Edward Island
My experience has been awesome. Being here has changed me in so many ways. I view life in a different way. Life is not about how much you have, but about what you do with what you have. The people in South Africa have taught me this. I’m so glad to embark on such a wonderful experience.
Ta'Tianna Bowns, Western Illinois University
The volunteer experience changed my life. It was one of the most rewarding, exciting experiences I've had.

Great eye-opener, easy method for travelling and seeing the world. Meet new people and see new places!

It was rewarding, eye-opening and amazing. It gave me great insight to third world living and permanently changed my views on conservation. It was absolutely fabulous.
