This was my second trip with ISV and I loved my first trip so much that I was afraid my expectations of my trip to Thailand were too high, but it was even better than what I imagined. I loved my project. It gave me the opportunity to learn about Thai people and interact with them on a personal level. The adventure tour was amazing. Some activities pushed me outside my comfort level but by the end left me feeling accomplished. I love traveling with ISV and hope to add a third trip next year.

The opportunity I had to interact with both the animals and people of Thailand were amazing. Volunteering gave me the chance to travel and feel like I was making a difference in the world.

The ISV experience was an ideal balance of cultural learning, volunteering, fun, and excitement. It was a great month of non-stop adventure and interesting information, and I couldn't have asked for more than what I received. Definitely a trip to remember.

To see and live in a small community was a far more real and enjoyable experience than tripping around tourist areas
Shona Jowett, Victoria University Wellington
This was a once in a lifetime experience. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. The staff made this a great experience. Without their knowledge, dedication and heart the trip would not have been the same.
Meghan Reed, Valdosta State University
What a ride!! Expect the unexpected in Thailand and enjoy it while it lasts. An amazing opportunity to travel and really immerse yourself in the local community while also contributing to the place you're in a positive way.
Caitlin Winter, Flinders University
Such a good combination of community assistance, cultural immersion and adventure activities. A very full and exciting month. I feel like I've accomplished so much personally and beyond myself.

Broadens your experience of what travelling is. Be a traveler, not a tourist.
Warren Chan, University of Newcastle
Challenging and enjoyable, the ISV volunteer experience offered all a chance to grow and make a difference at the same time.
Madeleine Cameron, University of Queensland
This has been on incredible, life changing experience. I got the chance to do things that I probably would have never gotten the chance to do. I have made some amazing friends, learned some wicked things, worked with great people and on top of that, I got to spend a month in Thailand I would highly recommend this program to anyone and hope that others are able to come out with as good of an experience as I have. Memories that will last a life time!!
Megan Webster, Lakehead University
The people you meet and the things you experience on ISV make the trip. A vacation to Thailand would never compare. I will be forever grateful to ISV for giving me this wonderful chance to experience Thailand in a way I never would have been able to otherwise.
Mathew Vosburgh, Purdue University West Lafayette
This trip has been the experience of a lifetime. I am in love with Thai culture and Thai people and hope to come back here one day. My volunteer experience was awesome at DEPDC. I hope the children I worked with learned as much from me as I did from them. My experience on the adventure tour was constantly exciting and challenging. I learned a lot about myself and went further than I ever thought I could.
Mary Featherstone, University of Georgia
This experience was once in a lifetime. It was by far the most exciting thing I have every done in my whole life. I was presented with personal challenges and the opportunity to face some fears. I am a stronger person and more confident because of this trip. It has made me want to continue challenging myself and take better care of our environment.
